So, four years and some months ago I last did week notes. I thought it would be fun to pick those up again. Since I’m a lazy person, I went to a site to calculate the current week number of my life. The site said 1991, but I felt like that number was quite high compared to the number the last post had. Turns out that different sites have different ways of calculating the week number. So now I don’t know what is the correct number.
If I use the same site I used last time, I’m in week 1933 of my life. But if I use for example this website, or this one, I’m in week 1991 of my life. In this case, less sounds better, so I could just use the same the site. And continuity is good and it means I don’t have to change all the previous post titles… But there’s a case for using the correct number. But how do I figure out what’s correct?
I’m not exactly a math genius here, but if I simply multiply my age by 52 weeks, I get a number that’s quite close to 1991. And officially a year is slightly longer than 52 weeks, so if I use that number (52.176 times my age), I get something that’s very close to 1991. And that’s correct because my birthday was about 8 weeks ago. So the more I look at it, it feels like I used the wrong number for my previous series of posts… Am I sure about this? No, not really. Does it matter? Probably not.
I guess I could do whatever I want, and I could stick to the old format, but I guess, unless some math genius can help me out, I might move to the new formatting. I might add a note to the old posts that the number is wrong, not sure… But let’s first see whether I can actually produce week notes this week!
